Barb E. Valier has spent her career at the intersection of mental health and the business of healthcare. With deep expertise in medical billing, credentialing, practice launch, and medical auditing, she founded Helping Hands Billing Solutions LLC in April 2023 with a clear purpose: give mental health clinicians the tools and knowledge to run thriving, sustainable practices.
What started as a done-for-you billing and credentialing service quickly revealed a bigger need. Clinicians didn't just want someone to handle the back office — they wanted to understand it. They wanted confidence, not dependency. So Barb built The Billing Bee Academy: a structured, practical education platform designed specifically for mental health providers at every stage of their journey.
Today, the Academy helps newly licensed therapists, counselors, psychiatrists, and NPs launch practices, master billing, and navigate insurance panels — without the overwhelm, the guesswork, or the costly consultants who don't specialize in mental health.
